Itinerary

Your Char Dham package begins from Haridwar. You will travel from Haridwar to Phoolchatti via Barkot. You must report at Rahi Motel in Haridwar one day before the date of departure from Haridwar. We will begin our day early and will drive from Haridwar to Barkot. This will be a very scenic journey as you will enjoy the views of lush forests and waterfalls. When you will reach Barkot, you will have a night’s stay at the hotel.

  • Report to the hotel in Haridwar so that you make the necessary arrangements.
  • Enjoy the sight of waterfalls and forests on the Haridwar to Barkot route.

This is the second day of the Char Dham Yatra package. You will start your day early leave Phoolchatti and drive towards Yamunotri. The Phoolchatti to Yamunotri will be a drive of 8 km and a trek of 10 km. We will drive to Jankichatti, and this is the starting point of Yamunotri. You can have a light breakfast at the GMVN tourist rest house and rest for some time before the trek.   You can now trek to Yamunotri, which will pass through steep slopes and rugged terrain. You can enjoy the sight of the Yamuna River flowing and bathing in the hot springs. These hot springs have medicinal healing properties. You can seek blessings from Goddess Yamuna at Yamunotri Temple. Thereafter you will return to Jankichatti and drive back to Phoolchatti. Rest in the hotel at night.

This will be your third day of this Char dham yatra by road. You will wake up early at the break of dawn and prepare to depart from Phoolchatti and reach Harsil. This is a small village and is on the banks of the Bhagirathi River. Phoolchatti to Harsil will be a distance of approximately 200 km.   Barkot will come on the way and you can make a short halt here to have breakfast. Now you will continue your drive to Harsil. When you reach Uttarkashi at around 1 pm, you will visit Vishwanath Temple, which is the temple of Lord Shiva. After this, continue your journey to Harsil. This will be a very scenic drive and you will view scenic landscapes on the way. You will reach Harsil in the evening and you will check into the hotel and stay here for the night.

We will wake up early and start this fourth day of your Char Dham Yatra package. We will begin our drive from Harsil and reach Gangotri, which is a distance of 125 km. We will have breakfast at the tourist rest house in Gangotri on the way. Now we will continue our drive to Gangotri Temple. You can have a dip in the river Ganga and offer prayers at Gangotri Temple.   We will have some time in Gangotri to relax. After this, we will continue our journey and reach Uttarkashi. This is a temple town and one of the sacred places in our Char dham yatra tour. The town is located on the Bhagirathi river and we will make a night halt at Uttarkashi. You can explore the neighboring region in Uttarkashi and visit some temples. Then night stay at the hotel with dinner.

Today is day 5 of our Char Dham Yatra package. We will begin our day early and start our journey from Uttarkashi to Guptkashi. This will be a drive of around 275 km and pass through the picturesque landscapes of Chamba and New Tehri. We will make a halt at the GMVN guest house at Chinyalisaur. Afterward, we will continue to Guptkashi. This drive will pass through some mesmerizing landscapes of Uttarakhand.  We will reach Guptkashi in the evening. You can check into the hotel at Guptkashi and have a leisurely walk in the local market. You can have excellent views of the Mandakini River on the way to Guptkashi. You can have a night stay in the hotel at Guptkashi.

You will begin your journey today from Guptkashi and reach Kedarnath via Gaurikund. After you wake up early you will have early breakfast and travel by bus from Guptkashi and reach Gaurikund. This is a distance of 35 km. Gaurikund is the starting point of the Kedarnath trek, which is 17 km. The town of Gaurikund is located on the Mandakini River. You can visit the natural hot springs at Gaurikund and bathe in it.   You will now start the trek to Kedarnath Temple. This trek is full of rocky paths, and steep terrain, but offers magnificent scenic views of Mandakini river and mountains. After you reach Kedarnath you can check into the hotel. Kedarnath is one of the foremost temples of Lord Shiva in the whole of India. High snow-clad mountains and icy glaciers surround the temple of Kedarnath.

This is the seventh day of your Char Dham Yatra package. You will offer prayers at Kedarnath Temple today and trek back to Gaurikund. This is a downhill journey and it can take about 5-6 hours to reach Gaurikund/ Rampur. Afterward, you can take a bus from Rampur and reach Tilwara, which is a distance of 60 km. It will take around 3-4 hours from Rampur to reach Tilwara. After you reach Tilwara, you can check into the hotel and rest for a while. You can keep the evening free for relaxation or visit the market or local area.

  • Downhill journey from Kedarnath to Gaurikund.

On this eighth day of Char Dham package, you will leave Tilwara and travel to Joshimath, which is a distance of around 170 km. You can have breakfast at the GMVN Rest House at Joshimath. Afterwards, you can visit the famous Narsingh Temple in Joshimath. The city of Joshimath is a major pilgrimage center. Vishnuprayag is a river confluence of the Dhauliganga and Alaknanda rivers. Afterwards, we will continue our Char dham yatra tour and head towards Badrinath, which is 42 km away.   You can offer your prayers at Badrinath Temple. The temple is one of the major temples of Lord Vishnu. He is worshipped in the form of Lord Badrinarayan. You can explore the town of Badrinath and discover the peaceful surroundings of the mountains. You can spend the night at the hotel in Badrinath.

Today you will leave Badrinath behind and make your way to Joshimath. After having breakfast we will drive to yet another famous temple in Uttarakhand, and that is Kalpeshwar Mandir. The temple is part of the famous Panch Kedar circuit. Lord Shiva is worshipped in the temple. You can take part in the Aarti and seek the blessings of the lord. Later you can check into the hotel and stay here for the night.

This is a day when you will leave the mountains behind and reach Haridwar. You can view the majestic confluence of rivers at Karnaprayag, Rudraprayag, and Devprayag. Srinagar is a town which falls on the route to Haridwar. You can visit Raghunathji Temple at Devprayag. You can stop here for some time and watch the scenic rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet at Devprayag. Later you can continue your journey and reach Kaudiyala.   Kaudiyala is famous for water sports and white water rafting. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of river streams at Kaudiyala and have lunch. Later we will continue our Char Dham Yatra and drive towards Haridwar. You can visit Har ki Pauri at Haridwar. This is a famous bathing ghat and the Ganga Aarti in the evening is a very famous event here. At Haridwar, your Char dham yatra tour ends.
