Day-1 Amritsar/Pathankot
On reaching Amritsar, check into the hotel and freshen up. You will drive through the city and visit famous tourist attractions. Take a stroll through the Wagah Border - the gate separating India and Pakistan. in the evening, watch the Beating Retreat Ceremony, which takes place daily at the Attari-Wagah border. Also, remember to visit the Bagh-e-Jinnah, Nawab's garden. Drive back to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Day-2 Amritsar local sightseeing
After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will explore the Darshan Area. This is the best area in Amritsar to have sightseeing at the Golden Temple. It symbolizes Sikhism, the essential religion of Punjab. After visiting the Golden Temple, we will explore its local market, which is full of colors, aromas, and vibrancy. The second most important place to stay after the Golden Temple is the local market of Amritsar. This will give an insight into the culture of this region. The Durgiana Temple is the most ancient place of worship in Amritsar and is a must-see. Pay your homage to the martyrs of the great Independence Movement at the Jallianwala Bagh. Day-3 Amritsar – Dharamshala
After breakfast, check out from the hotel, and drive to Dharamshala. On arrival, Dharamshala checks in to the hotel. Evening free to explore the market. Dinner & overnight night stay in a hotel. Dharamshala is a small city in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated in the upper Himalayas. It is also known as the 'Valley of peace' and the 'Little Tibet.' Around five kilometers from the central city is McLeod Ganj, the Tibetan settlement. The main attraction at McLeod Ganj is the Dalai Lama’s temple. Day-4 Dharamshala - Local sightseeing – Dalhousie
After having breakfast, please check out from the hotel, today drive to local sightseeing, including the Official residence of Dalai lama in Mcleodganj, St John church & Bhagsuanath temple, the oldest temple in Dharamshala and an evening time drive to Dalhousie. On arrival in Dalhousie, please check in to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day-5 Dalhousie – Khajjiar – Dalhousie
After breakfast, drive to Khajjiar, a valley located in the Chamba District of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh is known as the mini Switzerland of India. Khajjiar is a forest clearing at 6400 feet above sea level with its lake, lush green meadows, and terraces. The place is also known as the 'Honeymoon Valley of India' or 'Lovestruck Village' due to its serene ambiance and unspoiled natural beauty. Khajjiar is just 23 kilometers by road from Dalhousie. However, from Kalatop, which is 13 kilometers from Khajjiar, one can enjoy the view of the place from atop the Kalatop rond point. Khajjiar is also the home of several endangered species of flora and fauna.
Khajjiar has majestic, thickly wooded mountains rising all around. Kalatop is the gateway to this paradise. There are some excellent places to stay at Khajjiar.
